Your ORRLCA Auxiliary

Our Values

We Stand Behind the Carriers

We are the spouses. The husbands. The wives. The families.

We are the ones who listen when they walk through the door after a 12-hour day and tell us they had a mountain of  parcels and a vehicle broke down.

We are the shoulder they lean on when they clash with management.

We are the sounding board when they talk out how they would fix the route, improve operations, or make the contract work the way it was meant to.

No other union has a family organization quite like the Auxiliary of the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association. That matters.

Most of us have careers of our own. We understand workplace politics. We understand pressure. But we have rarely seen anything as complex as the rural carrier contract—or as regulated as their daily tasks. The rules, evaluations, equipment requirements, grievances, and ever-changing delivery demands are unlike any other profession.

That is why the Auxiliary exists.

Why the Auxiliary Matters

  • We support rural carriers and their families.
  • We promote understanding of the rural carrier craft.
  • We encourage engagement with the union and its goals.
  • We support the steward system and fair grievance procedures.
  • We advocate for legislation that protects rural delivery and the future of the craft.

We believe in the carriers.
We believe in the union.
We believe in the Political Action Committee.

The people fighting for the craft have your back.
And so do we.

Join the Effort

The Auxiliary strengthens the voice of rural carrier families. When families are informed and engaged, the union is stronger. When the union is stronger, the craft is protected.

If you are the spouse or family member of a rural carrier, there is a place for you here.

Together, we protect today’s carriers and tomorrow’s routes.
